He was one the founders of APAF -Portuguese Association for Photographic Art- (formed after the extinction and realignment of "Foto Club 6x6"), where he was a member of the executive board.
In the APAF he was the executive secretary for three mandates from 1973 till the beginning of the eighties

Co-author of one of the first non commercial slideshows produced in Portugal, with premiere at Palácio Foz in 1979.
In 2002, after having abandoned the photography for over twenty years, returned to this activity with the re-discovery of the magic of the photographic lab... initially through the computer assisted image manipulation and, more recently, using the "old" traditional analog processes.

He participated in several individual and collective exhibitions, including "(In) Slow Motion - Retro & Toy Cameras”, in partnership with author Elsa Mota Gomes, which was presented in 2010 at Sousa Valles Gallery, at the Centro Cultural Malaposta in 2010 and at the Gallery of the Paço da Cultura da Guarda in 2011.
In 2017 he participated in the installation of "Já só Eco. Já só Memória", at Arte Graça, in Lisboa.

Member of the “f2.8 Colectivo de Fotografia”, for which he participated in several exhibitions .

He has published works in the Thiaps-International Analogue Photographic Society and in the online edition of Black & White Magazine.
In 2015 he edited the book "Myanmar – O milagre de viver sorrindo (The Miracle of Living Smiling)" Ed. Prelo -out of stock .
In 2018 the e-book “Nothing more than echo;nothing more than memories” and in 2020 “Nepal – In the kingdom of Yak and Yeti”
In 2022, he published the Album "50 Years... 50 Photographs". in an edition of Espaço Ulmeiro, Associação Cultural

He was a professor of photography at UNISBEN - Universidade Intergeracional de Benfica.
